Extreme makeover rejects - what happens to those people?

Is plastic surgery really becoming as prevalent as the media suggests? I wonder what it will be like in a few years, if that is the case...

---------
"Hi honey, have you seen our kids?"

"Yeah, I know. Let's go ahead and schedule something soon. We've GOT to do something about Joey's nose."

"No, I mean, where are they?"

---------
"Push! One more push!..."

"Waaaah!!!"

"You've got a healthy baby boy!"

Parents:
"EEEEEEEEE!! GADS! Take it away, QUICK! God, no, no pictures YET!!"

Well, it's been a long time. Over a year has passed, and much has happened. Re-reading the last paragraph of my last post, and then reflecting on recent events has me wondering when the political turmoil will wane.

Fortunately, there are ways to overcome strife. I recently heard a speaker who was describing the work of buddhist monks to put 'mindfulness' into action. We sometimes can be comforted by asking and answering the following 3 questions:

What is most important thing to do?
Who is the most important?
Where is the most important place to be?

Answers:
Do kind things to those beside you.
Whoever is beside you.
Wherever you happen to be.

Sometimes we worry about friends, family, society, work, war, hunger, etc. The past cannot be changed, the future is not yet available. Peace is achievable in the present.
